My newest clients in Bellevue seek a genuine, kind, caring, and energetic Family Assistant for their family of four.  Their 10-year-old son is known for his analytical nature, fair-mindedness, loyalty, sociability, and neurodivergent traits. He enjoys reading, playing video games, participating in complex board games, engaging in soccer and basketball, and passionately describing his latest obsession, typically a video game or board game he is creating.  His sister, who is 7, is always on the move - especially perfecting her cartwheels; she is eager to explore new things, is compassionate and caring towards others, and is full of happiness.  She finds joy in performing handstands, swinging on swings, diving into a good book, engaging in various crafts, playing luck-based card games, immersing herself in music, playing soccer, practicing gymnastics, and swimming.  They both occasionally join programs at school, like yoga, dance, marimba, acting, and coding.  You can find them hiking, climbing, and camping on the weekends. They enjoy cheering their children on at soccer games and trying to meet up with family friends or have a playdate. In the winter, they go skiing every weekend.

FROM THEIR CURRENT NANNY: This family is wonderful. They are kind, gentle, and conscientious parents to two great kiddos.  The home environment is exceptionally calm, quiet, and respectful. For personal reasons, I had to step down as their nanny, but 10/10 would recommend them!

FAMILY VALUES: “Our family values stem from what we want to teach our kids.  We want them to treat others with respect and expect the same from their friends.  To become loyal, thoughtful friends.  We want them to be contributing members of our family and community.  We want to teach them to resolve conflicts by leading with curiosity.  We want to teach them independence and responsibility.  We want them to work hard for their goals.  We want them to be thoughtful consumers.  To seek experiences, friendships, and community over material things.  We want them to care about the world around them and make daily choices that align with that.”

ABOUT THE FAMILY ASSISTANT: They are looking for someone experienced, even-keeled, and balanced, who has a sense of natural responsibility, can stay on top of things without a list, can take initiative, and is organized and punctual.  Someone who is nurturing by attending to the kids' emotional needs but also able to support them in building their kids to be more independent.  Additionally, someone who is able to keep up with their active lifestyle.  They intentionally walk to the bus stop every day (rain or shine) to give them time to decompress from the day, chat, or explore a little. This is a round trip 1.5 mi walk.

A family of three in Bellingham is looking for a family assistant to join their family. His son is a kind-hearted 5-year-old with a vivid imagination. He enjoys imaginative sci-fi pretend play, creating fantastical worlds and characters. His curiosity drives him to explore new ideas and experiences, and he embraces his independence. His sister, who is 9 years old, enjoys a variety of art, drawing, and reading. Though she is quiet at first, often taking her time to feel comfortable in new situations, her creativity shines brightly once she comes out of her shell. In her downtime, she enjoys listening to captivating audiobooks and reading and delights in imaginative play with her dolls and figurines. Both kids enjoy various activities: going to the lake in the summer, swimming, watching movies at a movie theatre, riding their scooters, visiting the library, exploring the beach, and visiting art supply stores.

FAMILY VALUES: As a family, they uphold the principles of kindness, fostering a warm atmosphere where they treat each other and those around them with compassion and understanding. They take the time to appreciate the little things in life and recognize their many blessings. Honesty is at the core of their interactions, ensuring trust and integrity shape their relationships. Lastly, they embrace patience, knowing that it is essential for growth and harmony within their family and the world around them.

ABOUT THE FAMILY ASSISTANT: In an ideal scenario, the family seeks a dependable and nurturing individual to assist on weekends. This person would be responsible for preparing the children for their day, including preparing meals, helping them with the usual morning routines, and ensuring they have everything they need for their activities. They are looking for someone who can identify and address their needs as they arise. They desire a candidate who will not only fulfill these duties but also be a positive role model.

HOURS: Weekends that land on weeks 1, 3, 5, and 6 would be more kid-centered, with the hours from around Friday 2-5p (optional and flexible), Saturday and Sunday 8a to roughly 2p (hours are flexible), and weeks 2 and 4, would be family assistant related. On weeks 3 and 5, Dad can offer additional hours on Monday and Tuesday in the morning or afternoon if the nanny would like more hours.
